TGIF: Spooktacular Fun for Halloween Weekend in the YVR 'Burbs, New Mortgage Rules, and the TriCity News Awards!

Friday, October 27, 2017

All Hallows Eve... aka Hallowe’en - that strangest of of celebrations which is a mysterious blend of Celtic festival, Christian holiday and today, modern consumerism. The Hallowe’en of pumpkins and costumes is a modern creation primarily limited to North America. For kids - a fun filled day of dressing up and visiting all the haunted houses & neighbours to collect candy. For many people creating the spookiest of homes in order to raise funds for their favourite charity, it is the culmination of weeks (if not months) of set up, wiring lights and installing all those frightening effects. So... please be generous this Hallowe’en - appreciate and enjoy. Stay safe.

There are so many bootiful events going on in the TriCities this weekend - for full info go to the TriCity News. Of special note is the final Coquitlam Farmers market of the season on Sunday with a spooktacular theme and how about a Hallowe’en Karaoke hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 133?

In answer to questions from last week’s TGIF with regard to NEW MORTGAGE RULES - yes, regardless of downpayment amount, every uninsured mortgage has to pass the stress test - qualifying at the higher than posted interest rate. Any questions about this or any other real estate issues, we have you covered as always.

Thanks to all for your enthusiastic support in making us A listers as your real estate team for the annual TriCity News awards - we are so grateful for your trust and confidence. We love our community of clients.

Have a great weekend! Michelle, Sheila and Shane
